Atomic is delighted to be partnering with an independent Firm, based in London (West End), looking to recruit a Junior Accountant/Accounts Assistant to join their team. The Firm specialises in the Media & Entertainment space, working with a wide range of artists, actors and record labels. The expertise in the industry, gives them the ability to provide a personal service tailored to the client's needs.

Responsibilities:

They are looking for a Junior Accountant/Accounts Assistant to support the team working on a range of clients within the media and entertainment space. Responsibilities include:

  • Cash book analysis.
  • Raise sales invoices relating to various live performances, recording advances & recharges.
  • Credit control.
  • Input of all purchase & sales invoices onto Twinfield and Xero.
  • Monthly cash flows on Excel.
  • Raise cheque, CHAPS, BACS & International payments.
  • Management commission calculations.
  • Expense analysis.
  • Journal entries.
  • Liaise with high profile clients & High net worth individuals
  • Liaise with Music Agencies and Management.
  • Prepare bank & credit card account applications.
  • Prepare VAT returns for an average of 5 clients per month.
  • Prepare accounts to trial balance (accruals, prepayments, depreciation)
  • Royalty statement analysis.
  • Tour accounting for UK & Worldwide tours.

Requirements:

  • Qualified or studying towards AAT or ACCA
  • Must have 1-2 years of Bookkeeping experience in a UK accountancy practice firm
  • Experience of an accounting system such as Xero, Sage, Quickbooks or, ideally, Twinfield
  • Previous experience with media clients would be preferable
