Atomic is delighted to be partnering with an independent Firm, based in London (West End), looking to recruit a Junior Accountant/Accounts Assistant to join their team. The Firm specialises in the Media & Entertainment space, working with a wide range of artists, actors and record labels. The expertise in the industry, gives them the ability to provide a personal service tailored to the client's needs.
Responsibilities:
They are looking for a Junior Accountant/Accounts Assistant to support the team working on a range of clients within the media and entertainment space. Responsibilities include:
- Cash book analysis.
- Raise sales invoices relating to various live performances, recording advances & recharges.
- Credit control.
- Input of all purchase & sales invoices onto Twinfield and Xero.
- Monthly cash flows on Excel.
- Raise cheque, CHAPS, BACS & International payments.
- Management commission calculations.
- Expense analysis.
- Journal entries.
- Liaise with high profile clients & High net worth individuals
- Liaise with Music Agencies and Management.
- Prepare bank & credit card account applications.
- Prepare VAT returns for an average of 5 clients per month.
- Prepare accounts to trial balance (accruals, prepayments, depreciation)
- Royalty statement analysis.
- Tour accounting for UK & Worldwide tours.
Requirements:
- Qualified or studying towards AAT or ACCA
- Must have 1-2 years of Bookkeeping experience in a UK accountancy practice firm
- Experience of an accounting system such as Xero, Sage, Quickbooks or, ideally, Twinfield
- Previous experience with media clients would be preferable
