Your new companyOur client is part of the G15, one of London's leading housing associations. Your new roleWe are seeking a proactive and dynamic Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner to join our team. In this key role, you will work closely with our finance team and operational managers to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Month-End Processes: Oversee and manage month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing detailed financial analysis to support strategic planning.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with departmental managers to provide financial insights and support, helping them understand financial implications and make informed decisions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor financial performance against budget, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with a strong background in management accounting.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a finance business partnering role, preferably within the housing or not-for-profit sector.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear insights.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive: Self-motivated, with a can-do attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
