The company has a hybrid working model where you will be expected to work in their Central London offices 3 day a week.
The Role:
As a key member of the finance team, this is a varied and interesting role that will support the Financial Controller in the delivery of month end and all reporting requirements.
The company is offering a study package with this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the month-end reporting to include balance sheet reconciliations, accrual and prepayments, fixed assets & depreciation and journals
- Update cash flow forecasts with actuals and reconcile net movements
- Handle intercompany/interdivisional agreements and settlements
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations and prepare group VAT returns
- Deliver internal reporting on cash and debtors for management decision-making
- Prepare and track broadcaster invoices, ensuring timely billing and cash collection
- Provide support during external audits, internal audits, and tax credit audits
- Support the Production Accountant as required including assisting the production teams with any queries, reconciling production credit cards and manage the billing process
About You:
You're a part-qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA) who combines technical knowledge with a personable approach. Your attention to detail is exceptional, and you thrive in fast-paced environments.
What You'll Bring:
- Part-qualified accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance colleagues
- Previous experience within a TV production company or similar creative environment would be advantageous but not essential
- A friendly, approachable personality with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with PMI accounting system (advantageous)
- The ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
