My client, a TECH business based near OLD STREET STATION, is seeking an accomplished MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT to join whilst they begin their next exciting growth phase. This is an incredible time to join this amazing business who really value their staff.

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS BASED IN THE OFFICE 2 DAYS A WEEK

THE ROLE

  • The role will provide support to the FM with business accounting activities.
  • Month end book-keeping and journal entry
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting workings including commentary and variances to budget and forecast
  • Assisting with cashflow reporting
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly payroll reports
  • Assisting with the preparation of royalty statements and management of IP sales revenue
  • Assisting with management of overheads versus budget to enable cost savings
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Reminding customers about upcoming/overdue payments
  • Developing and implementing tactics for collecting late payments, including follow-up calls and emails.
  • Liaising with third party providers, customers, and suppliers (where required)
  • Dealing with HMRC (where required)
  • Dealing with ad hoc queries made by staff or external providers
  • Review and improve accounting procedures and processes to ensure efficient

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Part-qualified or working towards a qualification
  • Experienced in management accounting
  • Strong analytical skills and able to decipher finance data as well as trends effectively.
  • Experience in management accounting and preparing payroll reports
  • Experience in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience of an accounting software package
  • Experience with Microsoft software packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
