We are looking for a Management Accountant to join the finance team of a rapidly expanding international strategic advisory firm. This role is ideal for an ambitious and highly motivated individual who is ready to take on significant responsibilities, including overseeing statutory entities in the Asia Pacific region. Reporting directly to the Head of Group Accounting, the successful candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and a robust understanding of accounting principles.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review transactions and journals posted by the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and assistant accountants.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Analyse P&L statements and provide insightful regional commentary.
  • Develop budgets and forecasts in collaboration with local management.
  • Liaise with auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely completion of audits and tax filings.
  • Handle VAT and other tax filings, and assist with audit and tax enquiries.
  • Monitor local cash flow and manage banking relationships.
  • Oversee cash repatriation activities, including dividends and transfer pricing arrangements.
  • Manage the alignment of different fiscal year-ends within the region.
  • Continuously improve finance processes and controls, leveraging the NetSuite finance system.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
  • Experience with NetSuite is advantageous.
  • Must have multi-currency and international experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic, global, and virtual teams.
