We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance team. Day to Day of the Role:

  • Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, ensuring all bookkeeping and journal postings meet deadlines.
  • Contribute to the compilation of monthly management information packs.
  • Perform accurate month-end analysis and balance sheet reconciliations, preparing corresponding schedules.
  • Provide management with a practical and commercially focused narrative of revenue and cost drivers.
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Engage in short-term ad hoc projects to support the team.
  • Handle payroll postings, analysis, and reconciliation.
  • Process staff expenses and manage additional duties, which may include Accounts Payable and Treasury/Client Money tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to produce a full suite of management accounts for stand-alone entities.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Part qualified with ACCA/CIMA/ACA, or QBE for the right candidate.
  • Strong ability to explain financial information to both management and non-financial colleagues.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with Dynamics 365 GL is beneficial.
  • Good numerical and analytical acumen with excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
