Management Accountant

Management Accountant | South London | £45,000 - £50,000 per annum | Onsite | Hospitality

An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join an award-winning restaurant chain on a permanent basis. This role working for a world renown household name will give you the opportunity to manage two direct reports in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Details of the role:

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be an integral member in the Finance team in a highly progressive and enriching environment. As you pursue your studies you will have the opportunity to expand your duties and have a clear path to progressions.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing a team of 2 Assistant Accountants
• Ownership of the restaurant P&Ls including commentary and explanations on variances
• Produce monthly management accounts decks to key stakeholders
• Business partnering with Restaurant Managers to discuss site performance and costs
• Reporting of sales and margins for all restaurants
• Reporting of labour costs and ensuring restaurant rotas are accurate and match the P&Ls
• Preparing accruals for head office and other support office entities
• Preparing and posting monthly journals for month end

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about developing people and passionate about the hospitality industry. Previous experience in a multi-site environment either retail or hospitality is a core requirement for this role and management experience. You must have a strong eye for detail, be entrepreneurial, and have the want to build strong relations. Being an active studier or wish to begin your studies in accounting is desirable.
