I am currently looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our clients fantastic, rapidly expanding business based in London.The Successful Candidate will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the company and will manage a variety of financial processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.Key responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Lead and manage year-round (YR) and month-end (ME) financial processes, ensuring all financial activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Take ownership of the balance sheet and ensure all accounts are accurately reconciled.
  • Overseeing end-to-end finance operations, monitoring cashflow, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to systems and controls, as well as dealing with ad-hoc projects and requests.
  • Conduct variance analysis for financial statements, identifying key trends and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Board and other external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Support the year-end audit process, providing necessary documentation and insights to auditors.
  • Partner with internal department heads and key account managers to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction for clients.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and the Head of Finance to provide detailed transactional information.
  • Manage the banking platform and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • While not handling transactions directly, you will oversee and manage the finance team, providing training and guidance to ensure operational efficiency.
Key Skills / Experience Required:
  • A Qualified accountant who is technically strong and is able to work with senior members of the business and build productive working relationships.
  • Previous business partnering experience will be beneficial but above all you will be a confident and articulate individual, both in person and through your reporting.
  • You will be able to explain financial performance and financial issues that arise clearly, both to other finance and non-finance colleagues
  • Be flexible and adaptable to a challenging and changing business environment.
  • Be able to take initiative and work autonomously if needed and be a team player that can assist others when required.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and ability to investigate problem areas.
  • Have Excellent time management and organisational skills in planning your own work.
  • Strong knowledge of Sage
  • Excellent Excel skills 
  • Have experience managing a small team.
