Job Title: Management Accountant Job Type: 3-6-month contract (high possibility of extension)Location: LondonDay Rate: £500 - £600 PAYEOpportunity Overview: A fantastic opportunity has risen to temporarily join my client, multinational financial services and asset management company, as a Management Accountant.Role Objective: The business is recruiting for a Management Accountant reporting to the Financial Controller and supporting the whole Finance function. Responsibilities will include support in month end reporting of financial results to the Group through relevant IT systems, HMRC returns, assistance with setting up corporate structure, banking services and finance IT projects. Supporting the Finance Team in the development and maintenance of budget trackers for projects, the wider management of the business operational overheads budget and forecast, appropriate controls and finance operations to enable effective support of the business.Key Responsibilities:Management Information and Controls* Support the production of monthly management accounts, reports and ad hoc financial analysis for relevant business areas, ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system, filed and reported, contributing to the team's financial control objectives and deadlines.Relationship Management* Develop relationships across the business and with the shareholder, acting as a point of contact for their financial reporting, forecasting and budget control queries and analysis. Budgeting, Forecasting and Planning. * Develop, manage, and maintain budget trackers, along with the wider management of the operational overheads budget and forecast. This will involve working with business partner budget owners to ensure that projects are tracking to budget and are being accurately reported.Statutory Reporting and Audit* Supporting audit processes in relevant areas by resolving year-end queries and liaise with external personnel as required to ensure proper compliance with regulations and delivering in line with the audit timetable. Accounting Operations* Oversee day-to-day operational finance activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, maintenance of fixed asset register, review of journals and payment run. Monthly VAT returns. Manage the completion of bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)* To ensure that Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) is considered throughout the product lifecycle, to enable the development of products that meet customers' needs at an appropriate cost and which promote my client's image as a firm where the fair treatment of customers is central to the corporate culture.Requirements: * Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)* An understanding of the corporate environment and ability to work to deadlines * Previous experience of working in Finance Department and with accounting systems* Excellent numeracy, double entry and Microsoft Excel skills* Attention to detail* Commercially minded; a drive to deliver better financial solutions.* Good written and verbal communication skills* Relevant work experience in real estate or infrastructure desirable* Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across team and departmentsDon't hesitate and miss out!
