Management Accountant
Salary: £45k - £50k
Location: Shepherd's Bush
Work Pattern: 5 days a week in office
My client is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Management Accountant to join our client's fast-paced and dynamic team in the Retail industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for full set management accounts with responsibility of tax returns and stock reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the monthly management accounting, including the preparation of journals, accruals, and balance sheets.
- Month-end closing for Stock, fixed assets and prepayments.
- Responsibility for tax returns across UK and US.
- Processing and validating invoices, particularly in regards to the precision of tax codes
- Formulating and publishing journal entries, such as reclassifications, adjustments, and end-of-month journals
- Aids in the development of accounting procedures and internal control methods, providing support in enhancing processes
- Works in coordination with the logistics department to address any inconsistencies in inventory analysis
- Collaborates with vendors for efficient resolution of VAT-related concerns.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Previous management accountant and tax experience - ideally indirect
- Previous experience in stock management and reconciliations
- Finance experience in a retail environment
- Ability to deal with high volume workloads, while ensuring that detail and accuracy is maintained
- Capacity to operate effectively and proactively in a lively office setting
- Familiarity with the principles of accounting and cost distribution, as well as accounting procedures and protocols
- Possess strong skills in numerical analysis and adept at handling transactions in multiple currencies
