Our client, a well-established British brand experiencing rapid growth and market leadership, is seeking a dynamic Management Accountant to play a key role in shaping their future company strategy.

This position offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the organisation's strategic direction through the development and management of vital financial systems. A qualified accountant with a minimum of three years of experience, ideally within the luxury retail sector, will excel in this hands-on and impactful role.

Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:

  • Oversee the entire accounts payable function, reviewing and authorizing all business payments.
  • Prepare and present detailed weekly and monthly trading reports to the Board of Directors.
  • Continuously optimise the financial function by identifying cost trends and implementing best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads to establish budgets, manage spending, and develop accurate forecasts for effective budget control.
  • Produce comprehensive reports and proposals for future investments to maximize growth and profitability.
  • Manage the development of annual budgets, monthly management accounts, quarterly re-forecasts, and year-end accounts.
  • Ensure the effective maintenance of the accounting system and business insurance.
  • Liaise with the eCommerce team to analyse online analytics and drive conversion improvements.
  • Take full ownership of the monthly trading reports and provide insightful feedback to the team.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA accountant.
  • Minimum of three years of management accounting experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in Access Dimensions software.
  • Experience in a luxury retail or eCommerce environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and IT skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to effectively multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a solid understanding of the luxury retail industry.
