We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a fast-growing Tech company. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role is pivotal in taking full responsibility for accounting and reporting for several UK entities within a large multinational environment.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Assist the Manager in managing the month-end process to tight deadlines.
  • Responsible for all accounting journals, accruals, pre-payments, provisions, deferrals, and amortisation on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring the integrity of financial accounts and resolving issues to keep balances up to date.
  • Implement stock control measures and align provisions with Group policy, collaborating with the sales team on aging stock.
  • Report on working capital and cash flow to Group.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts.
  • Provide management information reports and KPIs.
  • Assist in the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process.
  • Support year-end processes, including audit preparation.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
  • Ensure timely filing of VAT returns and assist with other tax filings.
  • Support the Finance leadership in the efficient operation of the finance department.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects, supporting the Finance team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified accountant (CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with industry experience.
  • Strong IT skills, with SAP experience being beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in Hyperion Reporting is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Deadline-driven and results-focused.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members both within and external to the department.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and flexibility to work collaboratively on financial reporting systems.
  • Good understanding of accounting guidelines.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
