Management Accountant

Salary: £175 - £200 per day PAYE

Location: Liverpool Street (1 day on site)

Duration: Short term contract until January 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant with Netsuite experience.

The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day and month-end closing Accounting function and other general accounting related processes.

What you'll do:

As a Management Accountant, your role will be pivotal in supporting business operations. You will be responsible for the month-end close process, balance sheet account reconciliations, and analysis of revenue and expense accounts. Your ability to understand actual results against budget/forecast will be crucial. You will also assist with the annual global and local subsidiary financial statement audit by preparing audit schedules and providing requested supporting documentation. Collaborating with operating teams, you will help establish, streamline, and automate internal procedures and processes. Furthermore, you will develop existing reporting capabilities and work towards reducing the time required to perform monthly close for multiple subsidiaries.

  • Month end close and related reporting using NetSuite Oracle
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Analysis of revenue and expense accounts, including understanding of actual results against budget/forecast
  • Assist with the annual global and local subsidiary financial statement audit by preparing audit schedules and providing requested supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with operating teams to establish, streamline and automate internal procedures and processes
  • Develop and build-on existing reporting capabilities and shorten time required to perform monthly close for multiple subsidiaries

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Management Accountant position brings a wealth of experience in accounting roles. With at least 3 years' experience under your belt, you are part-qualified and have hands-on experience with an accounting/ERP package - NetSuite experience would be a bonus. Your advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vLookups) will come into play regularly. You have proven your ability to work both collaboratively and independently in previous roles. Your strong problem-solving skills enable you to take initiative to resolve problems by researching history and proposing solutions. You are comfortable prioritising, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced growing organisation.

  • Part Qualified with a minimum 3 years' experience in Accounting role
  • Experience with NetSuite is essential*
  • Month end management accounting and reporting experience
  • Media experience, strongly preferred, including exhibitions and digital media
  • Advanced excel skills (pivot tables, vLookups, etc.)
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced growing organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to take initiative to resolve problems by researching history, identify & proposing a solution
  • Finance experience within media is a plus
