We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our finance team in London. This role involves providing comprehensive financial reporting and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance or accounting, with experience in controlling, planning, and reporting within a corporate environment.
Day to Day of the role:- Prepare and analyse daily trading profit/loss reports and broker reconciliations.
- Execute month-end reporting tasks, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and management accounts package preparation.
- Support the year-end reporting process and liaise with external auditors.
- Manage tax-related responsibilities, including preparing tax returns and VAT analysis.
- Assist in treasury functions, such as cash management and foreign exposure management.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and weekly cash flow forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, and regulations.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and provide support to the team as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Membership in a professional accounting body.
- At least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in an operational and corporate setting.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Familiarity with international accounting and taxation laws.
- Proficiency in SAP and Tableau; intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
