Management Accountant

up to £65k

London (SE1), with hybrid working

Our client, who are a highly successful London-based law firm with a heritage spanning over 300 years, advising wealthy families, property investors, entrepreneurs, and family businesses. With offices in London and Oxford, they blend tradition with a modern and agile approach, helping internationally mobile client’s structure and preserve their wealth while navigating UK property investments and business activities.

They are looking for a Management Accountant to join their welcoming and collaborative finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for a recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) who wants to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment where they can take ownership of their workload and build strong relationships across the firm.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, budgets, and cash flow reports.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis, variance reporting, and commentary on performance.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including VAT calculations and submissions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
  • Support the audit process and assist in the production of statutory accounts.
  • Provide key financial information for partner and fee-earner performance reviews.
  • Work closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team on strategic projects.

What They’re Looking For

  • Prior experience in legal finance, including SARs and AML, is essential.
  • Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with 3E is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
