Job status: Permanent, office based with 4 days WFH allowance per month

Location: Central London

Summary:

This role is responsible for the timely and accurate processing and reconciling of a wide variety of accounting documents such as invoices, departmental billings, employee reimbursements, journal vouchers; compiling and reviewing information for accuracy; and maintaining records etc. The work is performed by applying knowledge of accounting terminology and using spreadsheets and the automated SAP accounting system.

Accountant - What You'll be Doing:

  • Responsible for the overall admin expenses
  • Responsible for fundamental taxation works
  • Maintain proper record of fixed asset register. Ensuring assets are appropriately recognised via close communicate with user department and Financial Shared Service Centre as well as applying professional judgement.
  • Carry out regular asset count and inspection.
  • Assist in formulating reports and applications to headquarter to acquisition and disposal of fixed assets in accordance with group policy.
  • Calculating capital allowance and maintain proper record.
  • Prepare national statistics reports accurate and ensure timely submission.
  • Preparing monthly and annual budget figures of admin expenses.
  • Prepare G&A expense analysis as required, provide informative comments to support management’s decision.
  • Prepare annual revaluation of company’s asset balance as required by the group.
  • Assist in system configuration and optimisation with close communication with group consultants.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Accountant - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Mandarin to native level, with fluent English
  • Degree level education or equivalent level qualification; Accounting profession qualification - part qualified eg ATT, ACCA or ACA or CIMA
  • Proficiency in computer to work with various systems and Microsoft packages.
  • Familiar with SAP accounting systems preferred but not essential.
  • Solid knowledge of bookkeeping
  • Understanding of international/UK accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of UK taxation in terms of corporation tax, personal income tax and VAT.
  • Understanding/knowledge of financial reporting preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in a similar role is preferable but not essential.
  • Working experience in an FSA regulated environment would be an advantage.
