About Our Client
Our client is a fast-growing, ambitious business that has seen 38% year-on-year growth over the past two years. With a strong brand presence and a reputation for innovation, they are continuing to scale at pace. To support this growth, they are looking for a Finance Assistant who can help drive efficiency in finance operations and ensure strong financial controls.
This part-time role (ideally 3 days per week) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-growth, fast-paced environment while enjoying flexibility in your schedule. The nature of the work can be flexible and will include some WFH elements.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Assistant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of financial processes. This is a well-rounded position that covers a mix of core accounting duties, financial controls, and process improvements, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a scaling SME environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations (preparation & review).
- Work closely with customers to ensure prompt invoice payments and resolve financial queries.
- Process employee expenses and maintain accurate records.
- Support the Head of Finance with month-end and year-end processes.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support business decisions.
What Our Client Would Like to See (Essential):
- Experience using Xero.
- Background in a product-based business (e.g., FMCG, Retail, E-commerce, Food & Beverage, or Fashion).
- Ability to prioritise, multitask, and work independently when needed.
- Strong Excel skills and an analytical mindset.
What We Would Like to See (Non-Essential):
- Experience in SME or fast-growth businesses (FMCG, retail, hospitality, or manufacturing).
- A track record of enhancing financial systems and processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
