Kenneth Brian Associates, are currently working with a growing and established business based in Central London (Sloane Square) in their search for a part time Accountant with some payroll experience.

The role will require you to work 3 days spread across 20 hours - and based 1 day from their office (Monday) in Sloane Square.

Key duties:

Financial Duties

Ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in Xero

Banking: Reconciliation of the bank accounts, credit card receipts and managing Direct Debits and Supplier Payments.

Client Invoicing: Ensure that our clients are invoiced accurately and on time.

Credit Control:Control our Aged Debtors, chasing O/S invoices in a friendly manner, escalating any problem accounts. Ensure that all Debtors accounts are accurate and up to date.

Payables: Record Purchase invoices accurately in a timely fashion, seeking approval from the appropriate manager, and raising payments onto the Banking system when they become due.

Expenses: Ensure Staff Expenses are accurately captured, approved and paid.

Card Payments: Ensure Card Payments are accurately captured, approved and paid.

Reconciliations: In addition to bank accounts, the reconciliation of other Balance Sheet Accounts will be required. (Examples: Trade Debtors, Trade Creditors, Accruals, Inter Company Balances etc)

Monitor Cash Position and escalate any cash flow concerns.

Assist with Month End Activities and Reporting as and when required.

Payroll:

To prepare, check and input, and import payroll information onto their Payroll System, input for starters and leavers including calculations or pro-rata’d pay, amendments on the Payroll and to check and process expense claim forms.To monitor, calculate and input the payments of; Sick Pay, Statutory Sick Pay, maternity and Paternity Pay and Statutory Maternity and Paternity Pay for employees eligible for these benefits.

To maintain an up to date knowledge of PAYE, NI and relevant payroll legislation.

To action any requests for information in relation to payroll and HR records with internal and external agencies e.g. Finance, HMRC and Benefits Agency as well as dealing with employee queries.

Preparing, calculating and processing salary advances.

- Processing tax year end including P60s and P35s.

- Dealing with all aspects of auto-enrolment.

Ensuring all duties are compliant with relevant regulations, maintaining an understanding of regulations & updating knowledge as required.

Any other tasks and office administration which maybe reasonably required from time to time.

General:

Ensuring that all processes procedures and User guides are up to date and maintained

Ensuring that our Rates (Employee Pay Rates and Client Charge Rates) are correctly reflected in our Care management system.
