About the Client:We are excited to be partnering with an established, boutique accountancy practice based in South London. This practice is renowned for its dedication to providing high-quality services and fostering strong relationships with a diverse range of clients. They are seeking an experienced accounts professional to join their dynamic team and contribute to their ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial statements for clients in accordance with UK accounting standards (e.g., FRS 102, FRS 105).
  • Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts for a range of clients.
  • Producing and reviewing management accounts and financial reports.
  • Overseeing client bookkeeping and making sure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Ensuring clients comply with the relevant UK financial regulations (e.g., Companies Act, HMRC requirements).
  • Mentoring and training junior staff, providing guidance on accountancy tasks, and reviewing their work.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and growing the client portfolio by networking or cross-selling services.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an accountancy practice (3+ years).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are preferred but not essential.
