Due to continuous growth, our client is looking for a Property Accountant to join their team being responsible for all estate management and service charge responsibilities. The ideal person for this opportunity will have a strong history working across residential properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Support building managers in preparing service charge budgets and ensuring timely and accurate input into the property management system to meet client and internal reporting deadlines.
  • Issue quarterly service charge demands promptly and efficiently.
  • Perform reconciliations and process recharges for tenant direct recoveries.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Uphold best practices by adhering to RICS/ARMA service charge guidelines, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Prepare service charge reconciliations, ensuring accounts are completed and delivered on time, aligned with client expectations.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience and in-depth knowledge of service charge accounting are essential. Expertise in managing large, complex residential or estate service charges is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and use own initiative when needed
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across the organisation, both internally and externally.
