Financial Controller | Fashion & Media | Hybrid | East London | £50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

Join a rapidly growing company as their first internal finance hire, working closely with the founders to build the finance function from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape processes, drive financial strategy, and support the business as it scales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the finance function and align it with business goals.
  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with payment agreements.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate budget variances.
  • Oversee budget preparation, VAT returns, and bank reconciliations.
  • Own year-end accounting processes and payroll.
  • Collaborate with all departments to drive informed financial decisions.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury, and maximise payment terms.
  • Control business systems and provide actionable insights.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
  • Experience in start-ups, D2C, or retail environments preferred (not essential)
  • ERP system experience
  • Flexible and hands-on approach
  • Experienced working in a start-up environment
