Financial Reporting Accountant

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Location: City of London

Hybrid: 3 days a week

Robert Half are currently partnering with an exciting UK based music production business, who are looking for a financial reporting client to support the preparation and production of individual entity and consolidated financial statements for internal and external reporting compliance with the applicable accounting standards (UK, US GAAP and IFRS).

Role

  • Assist in preparation of multi-currency financial statements monthly under UK GAAP.
  • Liaise with UK auditors and support preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Support the preparation of US GAAP financial statements for parent company reporting.
  • Prepare various balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations.
  • Support the Group Reporting Manager in preparing required documents and reconciliations for local tax, compliance, and statutory filings for the Group and its international entities.
  • Assist with all aspects of the UK statutory audit process for the Group, coordinating with external auditors.
  • Maintain and update the internal compliance schedule for each entity and the Group.
  • Assist with all aspects of the parent company's annual statutory audit under US GAAP, preparing and providing supporting documents within the specified timeline.
  • Support the preparation of R&D tax credit calculations, collaborating closely with the development team.
  • Enhance efficiencies and continuously improve the Group consolidation process.
  • Assist in the implementation of Group consolidation software, ensuring it is up-to-date, well-maintained, and meets the Group's consolidation requirements.

Requirements

  • At least CIMA/ACCA/ACA part-qualified with 1-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in tax reporting, with international tax exposure preferred but not essential
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience in FRS/IFRS reporting, with up-to-date technical expertise
  • Prior exposure to US GAAP is preferred but not essential
  • Proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills
  • Experience with SAP Business One and Oracle systems is preferred
