Kenny Recruit are actively recruiting for a Revenue Accountant for a insurance and reinsurance broker. This is a 12 month contract position and we are looking for someone who is available at very short notice (can start at the end of September).

The role is to provide support to the Operations and Finance teams, with focus on the reporting and analysis functions. You will oversee the flow of data from the broking system to the finance ledger. This will include revenue reporting and cash analytics, whilst also providing robust MI and insight to drive business performance.

Pay: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependant on experience) + benefitsLocation: Central London - 3 days in the officeWorking hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Oversee the flow of data from systems of record into financial ledger
  • Provide timely MI and insight to support and partner the lines of business
  • Provide robust analysis and insight to drive business performance
  • Manage the monthly revenue flash process, including system reconciliations
  • Preparation of cash reporting at all stages throughout the process
  • Ensure processes are in place and kept up to date in order to ensure the completeness and validity of MI
  • Conduct regular process and controls reviews and provide recommendations for improvement where necessary
  • Engage with business, IT and Finance functions as well as outsourcing partner on fiduciary matters, act as point of escalation as necessary
  • Management of internal and external audit requirements on financial data within Broking system
  • Provide requirements for system changes and IT roadmap, with UAT support as necessary
  • Ad hoc support for projects arising in the Operations and Finance teams

What we need:

  • Preferably experience of working within London Market insurance accounting
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Attention to detail, numerate and technically proficient
  • Highly proficient / experienced in analysing large amounts of data with advanced excel skills
