Ryder Reid Legal is seeking a talented legal finance professional to join the growing Finance Department at one of our prestigious, law firm clients on a permanent, hybrid working basis.

About the Role: As a Revenue Controller, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of partner practice groups. Reducing "lock up" through effective WIP management and timely billing, taking ownership of client partner debt, assisting with month-end processes, and contributing to future projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients to ensure prompt payment of invoices.
  • Resolving client queries within firm SLA times.
  • Building strong relationships with clients to ensure smooth revenue cycles.
  • Monitoring and minimizing exposure across your portfolio.
  • Maintaining accurate client contact databases and adhering to collections policies.
  • Managing special rates, account reconciliations, and monthly statements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Finance: Proven experience in a finance role, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse financial data and manage WIP effectively.
  • Client Relationship Management: Excellent skills in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing client databases and processing invoices.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive in resolving client queries and managing exposure.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across different practice groups and assist the wider finance team as needed.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to be flexible, especially during month-end processes.
