We are working with a well-established international bank based in the city who are looking to recruit a Risk Control Officer to be responsible for providing guidance and support to the banks senior management in the creation and development, implementation and backing of the banks operational risk framework.
Responsibilities
Provide on-going support for the banks operational risk infrastructure and governance framework
Identify, track and remediate business operations vulnerabilities across the bank. These include corporate threats but are not limited to compliance assurance solutions that also mitigate security, IT, business continuity and environmental threats and risks that protect the corporate infrastructure
Develop and help to implement, risk, vulnerability and risk remediation assurance and management programs
Manage and collate data. E.g. but not limited to: RERs, Key Risk Indicators, Loss and Risk Registers, Group Risk Reporting and booking losses
Maintain Risk Event Reporting register and independent reviews of risk events
End to end management of customer surveys as part of the banks Conduct Risk programme
Assist Risk Control Manager:
oReview Access Controls (internal and external parties)
oReview of Business Continuity Plan and Operational Resilience Framework
oMonthly monitoring and reporting on Risk Appetite
oMonitoring activities across Operational, Credit, Investment, Country and Liquidity risk families
oStress testing activity specifically; capital and liquidity planning, credit risk
oRisk Control Self Assessment Reviews and quality assurance programme
oCollation, review and quality assurance of Management information
oReview Cyber and Information security events
oComplaints Handling including independent review/investigation, customer communication
Provide support to the Manager and or Head of Risk Control in the daily running of the Risk Control department
General administration and clerical work
Involvement in various projects
Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in Operational Risk
Experience in Enterprise Risk ideal but not mandatory
Knowledge and experience in key risk families with focus on Credit Risk, Stress Testing, Capital planning, Liquidity risk
Advanced data analytical skill set including proficiency in Excel
