Stop press! We have an excellent opportunity on offer for an ACA/ACCA qualified auditor with significant management experience. The recruiting firm is a UK Top 50 firm of accountants operating throughout the UK and the role is for a Senior Audit Manager in East London.

This firm is searching for an accountant with extensive technical know how when it comes to external audits. You’ll be able to demonstrate a high-level understanding of the process from start to finish, someone who can coach and inspire a team, ensure enhanced service levels are delivered and a first-class communicator who keeps clients updated in a way that works best for them.

The audit clients that this Senior Audit Manager will be working with vary in size, structure and sector so it’s important candidates can showcase a broad range of knowledge and experience and the ability to manage the department with an agile approach.

Job Purpose

  • Manage an audit client portfolio, leading audits from planning to completion.
  • Provide valuable contributions to client meetings, professionally handling queries.
  • Work on various projects simultaneously, ensuring client expectations and deadlines are being met.
  • Oversee and mentor junior audit team members, nurturing talent by fostering a supportive and educational working environment.
  • Work alongside other teams within the firm to offer a joined up and cohesive service.
  • Support the firm’s business growth by maintaining relationships with key contacts and building a prospective network.
  • Deliver strong technical knowledge and keep up to date with legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients.
  • Tendering for new business, sales, networking and other business development projects.
  • Review internal processes and providing recommendations to improve efficiencies across the Audit function.
  • Set an example for the team as a natural leader.
