We are seeking a dedicated individual to support the Head of Finance and work closely with the financial accountant to ensure a robust financial control environment. Hourly Rate: £21.63 per hour via PAYE or £27.48 per hour via Umbrella

Location: Hybrid work (3 days in office and 2 days from home) Office based at North Acton

Job Type: 6-month contract (with possibilities of further extensions)

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Partner with the financial accountant to maintain strong financial controls, including payment processes, grant processing, cash management, balance sheet reconciliation, and corporate reporting.
  • Maintain SAP financial processes and structures for accurate financial transactions and reporting to support finance business partners and business areas.
  • Support the planning cycle by maintaining and tracking progress to timetables, including budgets and quarterly forecasts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Keen interest in accountancy and active pursuit of an accountancy qualification with a professional body.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the public or private sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
