We are partnering with a leading global health institute affiliated with top universities, driving impactful research and innovation in healthcare across over 60 countries, to recruit a bright and ambitious Senior Finance Officer.
Their work includes developing treatments for major diseases, advancing public health initiatives, and leveraging technology for better healthcare access, particularly in communities with more barriers.
The role will initially be responsible for financial operations across multiple entities, ensuring compliance, and managing transactional processing. It will evolve through time to provide the management accounts and business partner support. Key responsibilities include:
- Financial Operations: Overseeing AP, AR, reconciliations, cost allocation, and payment processing.
- Month-End Close: Handling journals, P&L, balance reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Systems & Controls: Supporting the implementation of new finance systems and process improvements.
- Management Accounts: variance analysis, data analysis and budget management.
- Ad Hoc Support: Assisting with payroll, VAT returns, year-end accounts and audits.
Skills & Experience
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant finance experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptable team player with the ability to work independently.
- Experience with grants, payroll, VAT, and financial controls is beneficial.
