Senior Financial Accountant

Central London / Hybrid | International Corporate Services business | £65-70,000 + benefits

This dynamic International Corporate Services business is looking for a Qualified Accountant to work as a Senior Financial Accountant in its busy central finance function to take responsibility for all financial accounting for the corporate accounts and subsidiaries in the group. Reporting to the CFO, key tasks include:

  • Responsible for the company balance sheet and all reconciliations.
  • Monthly recharges to each business unit as well as intercompany reconciliations.
  • Consolidating company cashflows,
  • Submitting VAT returns.
  • Sales ledger and purchase ledger reviews.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the financial assets of the
  • Group and oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors
  • ensuring all compliance issues are met.
  • Ensure the company financial systems and processes are robust, compliant and
  • support current activities and future growth.
  • Process payments through online banking.
  • Lead and mentor a team of two.
  • Liaise with auditors and provide information and analysis as required.

Key traits that the successful candidate will have include:

  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA with post qualification experience.
  • Proven leadership and team motivation / coaching skills.
  • Excellent written & oral communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of sage accounting and strong excel skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a 'can do' attitude.
