Halliday Marx have partnered with a PE backed energy firm who are experiencing mass growth. They are looking for a strong senior financial accountant on a permanent basis.

Hybrid working (3 office, 2 home)

Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end and year-end consolidation process
  • Ownership of accounting for central holding entities
  • Support the accounting and integration of acquisitions
  • Preparation of subsidiary accounts (under FRS101 & 102)
  • Contributing to technical accounting topics for transactions (M&A, IFRS 16, group restructuring)
  • Delivery of year end statutory reporting including liaising with auditors.
  • Support the preparation of Group consolidated monthly management accounts and analysis
  • Ownership of Group-level reconciliations of investments in subsidiaries, goodwill, acquired intangibles, right of use assets, leases and all equity balances
  • Support the Group budgeting and reforecasting process, with particular focus on Group working capital
  • Work closely with System Accountant to ensure consolidation system is up to speed
  • Preparation of technical papers as and when required

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/CA qualified
  • Practice trained, ideally audit but business services is acceptable
  • Confident personality and able to deal with senior stakeholders.
  • Good sense of humour
