Halliday Marx is seeking a senior financial accountant for a PE-backed energy firm experiencing significant growth.
The position is permanent and offers a hybrid working model with three days in the office and two days at home.
Candidates should have ACA/ACCA/CA qualifications and ideally possess practice training, preferably in audit.

Halliday Marx have partnered with a PE backed energy firm who are experiencing mass growth. They are looking for a strong senior financial accountant on a permanent basis.

Hybrid working (3 office, 2 home)

Responsibilities

Support the month-end and year-end consolidation process
Ownership of accounting for central holding entities
Support the accounting and integration of acquisitions
Preparation of subsidiary accounts (under FRS101 & 102)
Contributing to technical accounting topics for transactions (M&A, IFRS 16, group restructuring)
Delivery of year end statutory reporting including liaising with auditors.
Support the preparation of Group consolidated monthly management accounts and analysis
Ownership of Group-level reconciliations of investments in subsidiaries, goodwill, acquired intangibles, right of use assets, leases and all equity balances
Support the Group budgeting and reforecasting process, with particular focus on Group working capital
Work closely with System Accountant to ensure consolidation system is up to speed
Preparation of technical papers as and when required

Requirements

ACA/ACCA/CA qualified
Practice trained, ideally audit but business services is acceptable
Confident personality and able to deal with senior stakeholders.
Good sense of humour
