Our client, a rapidly expanding private equity backed business, has a rare opportunity for a qualified (ACA or equivalent) financial accountant to make a move into a fast paced, high-profile role within a future market leader. Working closely with the Group Financial Controller you will play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
-Preparation of year end statutory accounts for all Group companies.
-Manage month end close process including accrual and prepayment calculation and preparation of journal entries.
-Review of period end balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the business.
-Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for payroll related balance sheet accounts.
-Management of daily cash-flow and general banking related matters.
-Co-ordination and management of year-end audit, main point of contact for external auditors.
-Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other regulatory tax filings.
-Ad-hoc project work.
The successful candidate will be ACA/ ACCA qualified with a strong academic record. You will have recent experience of consolidations and a good awareness of the technical legislation (inc. IFRS). You must be flexible, organised and able to meet deadlines. You will have excellent attention to detail, first class communication skills and the ability to work closely with Senior Management. This role will develop into a Financial Controller role in due course, for those that show drive, determination and ultimately results.
