Our client is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the development of financial reporting for a portfolio of channels, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and ensure strong internal control environment. What you'll do:
As a Senior Management Accountant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the Senior Finance Manager in developing current financial reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting, reviewing balance sheets, supporting audits, and identifying opportunities for business partnerships. Your expertise will also be crucial in improving internal processes and controls. This role requires a proactive approach, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly reporting to Corporate on the Group P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Review/reconciliation of selected Balance sheet accounts.
- Support the production of well vetted budgeting, forecasting and business planning for the portfolio of channels.
- Supporting the UK Group and statutory audit and reporting, assist with preparation of data for the auditors and liaison thereafter.
- Find opportunities to partner with the business and meet with client areas monthly to review reports, providing analysis where necessary.
- Support development of current internal processes and controls to improve efficiencies and ensure compliance with corporate governance.
- Ad hoc analysis for the SFM/FC/VPF as requested.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Management Accountant position is a part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA/AMCA/ACCA) with strong Excel data analysis skills. Knowledge of Oracle, Essbase, and FCCC would be advantageous. You should have a proactive approach with a hands-on attitude to ensure deadlines are met. Experience in FP&A would be beneficial as well as MA experience.
