Senior Management Accountant

We are working with a dynamic energy company who are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to handle monthly financial reporting, assist with year-end audits, and contribute to various projects. This position requires managing month-end balances and reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly management accounts.
- Ensure the accurate posting and reconciliation of all accounting journals.
- Compile monthly balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of year-end financial statements and address audit inquiries.
- Establish and maintain robust processes and controls to mitigate risks.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all operational procedures and systems.
- Enhance knowledge of financial instruments, revaluations, and settlements.
Required Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certification.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Analytical, curious, and proactive mindset.
Experience Needed:
- Proven experience in preparing management accounts.
- Ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience working with derivatives/prior knowledge of derivatives.
- Experience with IFRS reporting.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Capability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
