VisionFR is delighted to be assisting a successful and growing healthcare communications agency to find a bright and switched on Senior Management Accountant who will work directly with the Finance Director & Associate Director of Management Accounting.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Management Accountant Role:

  • Maintenance and support, as well as assisting in, the control of all group purchase ledgers and overall PO management.
  • Reconciling & filing quarterly HMRC VAT Returns & annual IRS 1099 reporting
  • Playing a key role in the month end management accounts, to include but not limited to monthly Accruals, Prepayments, Freelancer Reconciliations, Overhead recharges & WIP postings
  • Preparing monthly Balance Sheet and Transfer Pricing (TP) reconciliations, and FX revaluations
  • Manage the accurate & timely management of supplier, credit card and expense payments
  • Intercompany invoicing and monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances
  • Providing requested information and support to the Finance Project Accountant (FPA) team & AR Management with FPA Team
  • Working with the senior finance team on non labour overhead budgeting and forecasting
  • Help ensure all recorded financial transactions comply with financial policies and procedures, as well as immediately highlighting any breaches to the senior team
  • Supervising and line managing two Finance Assistants, providing training and mentorship on an ongoing basis
  • Assist with timely and accurate tax filings and statutory reports for Group, US and UK subsidiary levels.
  • Assisting with the preparation of year end accounts as well as the year end closes and audit
  • Assisting with corporate cash flow and treasury management
  • Compiling and updating master monthly and an annual accounting and finance timetable

Essential skills and experience for Senior Management Accountant Role:

  • A number of years’ experience within the Marketing/Advertising/Comms industry
  • Proven expertise on Paprika accounting software
  • Ideally have worked for both US and UK companies
  • Strong understanding of industry standards - including accounting and tax principles, credit control and related regulations
  • Advanced skills in MS Office - in particular strong MS Excel skills are required
  • Good team communication
  • Good time management, planning and organisational skills
  • Proactive and flexible approach, a problem solver, adaptable
  • Preferably finance or accounting degree and/or part qualified from a relevant professional body, ideally looking to complete their studies in due course.
  • Ability to work collegiately, but also on own initiative, and in a largely remote but still highly communicative and supportive environment
