CMG is excited to be partnering with a leading global software company seeking to hire a Senior Revenue Accountant on a temporary basis.In this role, you will ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards through thorough contract reviews, handling revenue-related close activities, and performing monthly revenue recognition processes.This is a temporary position offering 50% hybrid working flexibility.Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (Sales, Legal, Dealdesk, Sales Ops, Finance) during deal negotiations, advising on contract structure and communicating how revenue will be booked and recognized.
  • Apply a strong understanding of business issues within the framework of accounting standards to provide sound guidance.
  • Manage workflows effectively, offering timely input and keeping management informed of critical issues.
  • Maintain attention to detail when documenting contract reviews according to relevant accounting standards.
  • Conduct contract analysis and prepare revenue schedules to ensure subscription contracts are recorded accurately.
  • Take ownership of reconciliations and processes in the global revenue close cycle.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key revenue metrics.
  • Partner with Order-to-Cash cross-functional teams to ensure all executed agreements are properly processed and accounted for.
  • Collaborate with Dealdesk and Legal to improve the contract management process.
  • Maintain documentation for all business processes and compliance-related activities.
  • Lead or assist with special projects, driving them to successful completion.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • ACA/CPA/CA qualified, with Big 4 experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Revenue or Technical Accounting, with ASC 606 compliance.
  • Experience in the SaaS/Technology industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work across various roles and with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of global quote-to-cash processes and best practices.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Salesforce, Apttus, with Workday experience.
