Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Finance team in simplifying the chart of accounts and implementing SAP automation for B2B processes.
  • Collaborate with Management Accountants and the wider Finance team to deliver accurate and timely monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets, aligning with group reporting standards.
  • Automate approval and payment workflows for invoices and expenses, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement automation to streamline monthly entity management accounts, board reporting, and the preparation of Year-end Financial Statements.
  • Conduct data cleansing by entity prior to simplifying the chart of accounts.
  • Work with finance and accounting teams to improve financial processes and maintain data accuracy across SAP modules.
  • Serve as a Super User, providing daily support, troubleshooting, and training to enhance system effectiveness.
  • Establish robust general ledger (GL) and SAP user control environments.
  • Manage the project, ensuring it stays on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Oversee stakeholder management, ensuring proper documentation and effective change management practices.
  • Plan and execute the installation, migration, and upgrades of databases (DBs).
  • Offer technical expertise for optimizing and tuning database performance.

Expectations & Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in SAP Business One for Finance implementation and simplification projects.
  • Background in the Financial Services sector, specifically within an FCA-regulated environment.
  • Proficient in interfacing with SAP systems.
  • Skilled in handling large datasets with experience in data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with regulated financial statement control environments.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK accounting standards.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and general ledger accounting systems.
