About the role and about you

We are a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. We create space for spirits to stir and be stirred.

We are seeking a dedicated Systems Accountant to lead the administration and support our financial accounting system and other finance-related systems. This role is pivotal in driving improvements, changes, upgrades, and replacements of these tools and systems, working closely with the Finance & IT teams, our systems suppliers, and HRP staff. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our financial systems support our aim to become a charity for everyone, making our palaces a living resource for all.

The Systems Accountant will actively drive improvements and efficiencies in processes and systems, working closely with the HoFA and the Financial Planning team.They will become the financial accounting expert in the use of SAP Business Objects for developing ad-hoc financial reports and scheduling regular finance reports for distribution throughout HRP.

We are seeking a part-qualified (minimum) Chartered Accountant (CIMA or ACA/ACCA), with experience of system administration of a finance system, at least basic understanding of Transact and Oracle SQL and excellent knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping. Knowledge of eFinancials (eFin), SQL and SAP Business Objects is desirable but not essential.
