About the Role
Our client, an established and forward-thinking accountancy firm in London, is seeking an experienced R&D Tax Consultant to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with innovative businesses across multiple industries, helping them claim tax relief for their research and development activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Advisory: Collaborate with clients to identify eligible R&D projects and expenditures.

  • Technical Reporting: Prepare and review technical reports to support R&D tax relief claims, ensuring compliance with HMRC guidelines.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with finance teams, technical specialists, and project managers to gather and assess relevant information.

  • Legislation Expertise: Stay updated on R&D tax credit legislation and industry best practices, providing proactive advice to clients.

  • Team Collaboration: Support junior team members and contribute to the development of internal processes.

About You

  • Experience: Proven track record in R&D tax consulting, with a deep understanding of HMRC R&D tax credit schemes.

  • Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand technical projects and translate them into clear and compliant claims.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in client-facing roles.

  • Qualifications: A background in accountancy, tax, or a STEM discipline is preferred (e.g., ACA, CTA, or equivalent).

  • Attention to Detail: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
