As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Tax Manager in Accounting who is a ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA-qualified tax specialist. This individual will be responsible for creating and managing a dedicated tax team and overseeing our compliance operations. The role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in tax planning, compliance management, and client engagement.

Leadership and Management:
oLead and manage our accounting, tax, and compliance functions, overseeing skilled teams of accountants, tax professionals, and compliance officers.
oEstablish and develop a high-performing tax team, creating a robust framework for delivering top-tier tax services to clients.
oOversee the compliance team, ensuring all financial and regulatory operations meet the highest standards of legal and ethical compliance.
Tax Expertise:
oUtilise CTA qualifications to provide expert tax planning and advisory services, ensuring clients achieve tax efficiency and compliance.
oDevelop and implement tailored tax strategies that align with client needs, focusing on risk management and tax liability minimisation.
oKeep abreast of changes in tax legislation, ensuring the firm's practices and advice remain compliant with the latest tax laws and regulations.
Compliance Management:
oOversee all compliance-related activities, ensuring strict adherence to statutory regulations and internal policies.
oWork closely with the compliance team to monitor and update compliance protocols, minimising the risk of non-compliance.
oDevelop training programs to enhance staff understanding of compliance requirements and promote best practices across the firm.
Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
oBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering high-level advice on tax and compliance matters.
oIdentify opportunities to enhance client service and business development through innovative financial solutions and proactive client support.
Staff Development and Mentorship:
oMentor and support the professional growth of team members, from onboarding through ongoing career development.

PERSONSPECIFICATION
Experience
Significant post-qualification experience in tax and compliance management, ideally within an accountancy firm.
Proven track record of managing and leading tax teams, with a strong focus on client service and strategic tax planning.
Experience in managing compliance functions, ensuring adherence to all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated leadership skills with a flair for inspiring and motivating professionals.
Skills&Qualifications
CTA/ATT qualified tax specialist, ACCA or ACA qualified.
In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proven ability to create and manage high-performing tax and compliance teams.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients and team members.
Proficiency in accounting and tax software (e.g., Iris, Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and time management.
