Temporary Qualified External Auditors - Hybrid

£33.00phr plus holiday pay - please do not apply if you do not have an ACA or equivalent qualification.

Our client, a well-known Auditors based in the City of London is looking for several Qualified Auditors to work for a period of a minimum of three months with the possibility of being extended.

This role is an External Auditor role where you will be responsible for managing not for profit businesses and charities to ensure they are compliant.

You will be responsible for liaising with the following people: Clients, Audit Managers and Trainee Auditors as well as:

  • Undertake client work as directed, mainly this will involve statutory audits but may also encompass other client assignments such as grant audits
  • Follow the firm's policies and procedures on all work to achieve high standards and deliver excellent service to clients
  • Keep managers regularly informed of activities, capacity and progress on assignments to ensure that time is fully utilised - daily/weekly check-ins as required
  • Have the ability to lead an audit team as well as work alone and participate in meetings as appropriate, playing an active part in internal briefing and de-brief sessions
  • Present completed audit file for manager review, which includes management letter
  • Ability to undertake audits remotely and actively engage with clients in a remote environment

To be considered, you must have:

A minimum of three years' experience working on audit assignments for Charities and Non for-Profit organisations.

A thorough knowledge of international auditing standards and UK generally accepted accounting practices as well as experience of statutory audit in the charity sector and understanding of charity accounting requirements (SORP 2015)
