Global Accounting Network are exclusively partnered with successful energy company who are seeking a trainee accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a trainee accountant to gain hands-on experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain ledgers, reconcile accounts, and process vendor invoices.
  • Assist in budgeting and the preparation of financial reports.
  • Collaborate with management accountants to support year-end audit preparations.
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations and analyze NAV standing data.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including the implementation of new financial procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, reporting issues to senior management.
  • Address queries from subsidiary finance departments.

Qualifications:

  • Level 4 AAT or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of key accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong numerical skills.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
