Transactional Financial Controller | High Growth Online Marketplace | Hybrid

The Client

Our client has made profound growth over the past 4 years with revenue doubling year on year, alongside a substantial growth in head count to go alongside this.

The ambitious scale-up company have a strategic plan in place to take the business to market leading standards and looking to hire the best talent to support this growth. If you are a commercially motivated individual with a solid accounting foundation, then this is a great fit.

The Role

We are on the lookout for a finance leader with global multi entity experience to take ownership of both the accounts payable and accounts receivable to drive a best-in-class function.

If you have a keen eye for process improvement and driving performance this would be a great opportunity to support one of the fastest scaling online marketplaces currently.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Oversee and manage a team of 3 direct reports, ensuring efficient daily operations across all Global AP/AR functions in the UK, Spain, Germany, and Portugal.
  • Process Management: Own and optimize the entire Global AP/AR process, including supplier/customer onboarding, invoice processing, approvals, payment runs, reconciliations, and managing outstanding balances.
  • Financial Health: Maintain and improve cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate funds are available for business operations.
  • Banking and Reconciliation: Manage bank accounts, reconcile transactions regularly, and allocate receipts and payments accurately.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness through automation and process optimization.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Financial Reporting: Contribute to month-end closing procedures for transactional finance areas.
  • Project Involvement: Participate in cross-functional projects that impact transactional finance processes and controls.

What we need to see:

  • Part Qualified / Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Experience running a global AP/AR function.
  • Great communicator.
  • Strong excel skills.

What we would like to see:

  • NetSuite experience
  • Familiar with google software

Salary: £70,000-£80,000 + benefits
