The OpportunityThis VAT Manager position, based in their modern London office, offers the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors while managing a dedicated indirect tax team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead VAT advisory projects for a varied client portfolio ranging from SMEs to large corporations
- Manage and develop a team of indirect tax specialists, providing technical guidance and mentoring
- Handle complex VAT consulting assignments and large-scale advisory projects
- Oversee multiple client VAT compliance processes and returns
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across various sectors
- Contribute to business development initiatives and proposal writing
- Collaborate with other service lines to provide comprehensive client solutions
- Represent the firm at client meetings and technical forums
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CTA) or equivalent with significant VAT expertise
- Minimum 7+ years of VAT experience, with at least 3 years at a managerial level
- Strong technical background in UK and EU VAT legislation
- Experience in managing client relationships and delivering advisory projects
- Proven ability to lead and develop team members
- Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities
- Strong commercial awareness and business development skills
