As a Vessel Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of time charter employments, ensuring precise invoicing, reconciliation, and accounting of vessel-related transactions. You’ll work closely with Operations and Commercial teams to manage Statements of Account, address discrepancies, and track trading activities.The ideal candidate will have experience in ship finance or vessel accounting, a solid understanding of the drybulk sector and Baltic index-linked structures, and familiarity with charter party commercial terms and laytime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and reconcile hire statements and invoices for time charterers.
  • Track and incorporate vessel trading updates into financial accounts.
  • Manage outstanding balances from historic fixtures.
  • Oversee crew P&I claims and liaise on other associated P&I matters.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
