Accounts Assistant

Central London

Permanent role on a Part time basis

20 – 25 hrs per week

£14 - £16 ph

Our client a creative events & production agency, who operate globally are looking to take on board an Accounts Assistant.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to support the Finance department as an Accounts Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in Accountsreconciling financial statements and bank accounts on a daily basis
  • Processing supplier payments and employee expenses
  • Supporting client invoicing
  • Ensuring all records are ready for quarterly reporting and tax submission
  • Working with team members to ensure all costs are supported by invoices
  • Working with team members to close event budgets as efficiently as possible
  • Supporting with processing transactions and purchase invoices into our accounting system to ensure entries are allocated to specific events where appropriate
  • Supporting with the commission claim process, including issuing invoices
  • Ensuring compliance with company financial policies and procedures     

Skills required:

  • Experience in accounts/bookkeeping or a similar financial administrative role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
  • Confident, a good team player
  • Clear communication
  • Positive and adaptable approach to problem solving
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and self-motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel – essential
  • Aptitude to maintain absolute confidentiality 
  • Experience in a similar role within the events or creative industries is an advantage
  • Experience with Xero and PLEO is an advantage
