The client are looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. They are a prestigious organisation within the Leisure, Travel and Tourism industry, based in South West London (Fulham). The role involves supporting the Financial Controller in managing the day to day operations of the finance team. Client Details

The company is a luxury travel and leisure company that specialise in global experiences and expeditions for thei clients. With a focus on providing premium services and experiences, they are a market leader in their industry and like to keep a more limited client list in order to service them as best possible.

The head office is based in Fulham (South West London) and they have a hybrid working model (2 days per week in the office). There are 35 people in the company and this number is growing very quickly - whilst the finance team will be made out of 2 people - giving the successful; candidate a wealth of exposure!

Description

The successful Accounts Assistant will:

  1. Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions by
    1. Accurately controlling the processing of supplier invoices, and VAT coding.
    2. Reconciling supplier statements, as required.
    3. Recording and allocating staff expenses.
    4. Accurately controlling the processing of client invoices prepared by the sales team.
  2. Completing bank reconciliations daily and liaising with the wider team to collect any missing receipts / invoices.
  3. Ensuring documents are correctly processed through the pre-accounting software and are uploaded to the accounting software.
  4. Liaising where necessary with suppliers directly, and internally with the wider team to resolve any queries that may arise.
  5. Prepare and reconcile month end prepaid and deferred income accounts, by way of processing of journals.
  6. Prepare data sets for Vat reconciliations.
  7. Monthly inter-company loan reconciliations.
  8. Processing of month end journals provided by the FC.

Profile

The successful Accounts Assistant will have:

  • Approximately 1-2 years experience in finance
  • Prior experience across both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Eager to learn
  • High attention to detail
  • Studying towards their ACCA/CIMA/AAT/ACA qualification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
