A successful and growing SME based in South-East London is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join them on a permanent basis. Although this role will be office-based initially, once the Accounts Payable Assistant passes probation hybrid working will be offered. This role can also offer career progression to become an Accounts Payable Manager for the right person. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working in a small finance team the Accounts Payable Assistant will:
Duties of the Accounts Payable Assistant Role:
- Lead on all areas of Accounts Payable including, processing supplier invoices, preparing payment runs, producing recharge journals and engaging with internal and external parties to resolve any AP queries.
- Process and correctly code any expenses onto Sage
- Reconcile Credit Card transactions
- Process timesheets for sub-contractors
Requirements of the Accounts Payable Assistant Role:
- At least 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Good MS Excel skills
- Sage Line 50 experience would be advantageous
