Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant
Location: West London (Hybrid – 2 days in office after 2 weeks on site for initial training)Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (Maternity Cover – 3 months, with likelihood of extension and potential to go permanent)Salary: £15 per hour (Umbrella) through agency
About the Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join the finance team of a major private health hospital in West London. As part of a team of five, you will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and ensuring timely payments. This role is well-suited for an finance professional looking to develop their career in the growing healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Process and match invoices to purchase orders and ensure correct coding

Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies

Assist in preparing payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments

Handle queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with financial policies

Support the finance team with additional administrative tasks as required
Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience in Accounts Payable or as an Accounts Assistant

Prior experience within a healthcare finance team is highly desirable

Background in private hospitals, clinics, dentistry, or NHS finance is preferred

Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and invoice processing

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to problem solving
