ROLE DESCRIPTION

The role of the Accounts Assistant is to support the Reporting & Accounting function to manage the companies growth in a disciplined way, ensuring timely, accurate and insightful reporting and the efficient and effective control of the finance systems and processes, against a fast growth and dynamic environment.  The main purposes/deliverables of the role will be: 

  1. Purchase ledger maintenance across multiple jurisdictions ensuring that suppliers are paid on time.
  2. Bank reconciliations.
  3. General ledger processing.
  4. Quarterly VAT returns
  5. Be the finance point of contact for any billing related queries
  6. Process and review expense claims while flagging any anomalies and discrepancies. 
  7. Interact with outsourced payroll providers to ensure payroll compliance across all jurisdictions
  8. Maintenance of the fixed asset register
  9. Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are kept up to date. 
  10. Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner.  
  11. Ad-hoc duties as reasonably required

This role is critical in managing and supporting the growth of the business and its expanding needs in a controlled and disciplined manner. 

KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Part-qualified accountant / qualified by experience/ AAT
  • Experience of working in a multi-currency, multi-subsidiary structure
  • Experience on NetSuite
  • Good understanding of core accounting systems (GL, Consolidation) and supporting core processes.
  • A self-starter and able to take initiative and adapt to a rapidly growing and demanding business
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Experience of working in start-ups would be advantageous.
