Interim Assistant Accountant | Renowned Art Gallery | London

The Client

Harmonic are proud to be working with one of the UK's most renowned Art Galleries in their search for an Interim Assistant Accountant to help facilitate the growth of the organisation.

Our client has renowned galleries across Europe and the US, with a small and dynamic team based in London. The larger group has grown significantly over the past 2 years and are predicting further growth from their London location in 2025. They are a close-knit and multi-disciplined team in London and therefore require a candidate with excellent communication skills and an ability to business partner with colleagues both within finance and across departments.

The Role

The successful candidate is required to be very hands-on with transactional finance and have a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities will be centered around the preparation weekly AP payment runs and recording invoices. There is also a great opportunity to assist with AML due diligence, month-end reconciliations, and ad-hoc finance admin. The role will center around the UK entity finances but there will also be exposure to larger group.

Responsibilities

  • Manage AP & AR processes
  • Assist the Global team with bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with the implementation of AP automation software.
  • Continuous monitoring of the daily bank account movements.
  • Assistance on AML due diligence
  • Ad-hoc finance and admin duties.

Essential experience

  • Previous experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Basic understanding of UK accounting principles.
  • Great knowledge of Excel and google docs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a small multi-disciplined team.
  • Problem solver and a keen eye for detail.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience working with Sage Intacct is preferred but not essential.

Day Rate: £175-£225 per day

Location: London (Hybrid)

Start date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 months (potential extension)
